The 'Fire' (oak) leather belt is totally made by hand, here in York, UK.
Cut using traditional hand tools from a 4mm thick oak tanned hide made in the last remaning British oak tannery. It takes over 14 months to make this stunning leather before it's finished with a special blend of oils and greases, which bring out the natural colour and qualities in this fabulous leather.
The Marshalsay, firefighters' quick release buckle was designed in the 19th Century for quick releasing fire hoses. The buckle is forged in the UK from solid brass before being secured in place using the traditional hand saddle stitch... one stitch at a time to make sure this is a belt designed to last.
It's all proudly finished with our Morgan + Wells makers mark.
