We work with cork because of it’s endearing sustainable properties, whilst also being an eco-friendly, durable leather alternative.  

M+W source their cork from Portugal where 34% of the world’s cork trees grow.  

The ancient, sustainable method of harvesting cork can only be done by a small group of experts and interestingly the process is beneficial for the trees and enhances their ability to absorb carbon dioxide. 

Cork really has special properties, it’s antimicrobial and anti-allergenic and unlike plastic and other materials, cork is naturally both water and stain resistant.
